Methodology of National Education Accounts

Various tools and methods have been developed to analyse education systems. The education sector analysis methodology includes a component on costs and financing. In the absence of comprehensive and harmonized financial statistics, sector analyses are built on budget data and household surveys. Information provided by an NEA facilitates all analytic work on the functioning of the system and contributes to all information-based processes, such as sector planning or the design of education reforms or programmes.
