Teacher Policy Development Guide

The Guide is designed to assist national policy- and decision-makers and education o cials to develop an evidence-informed national teacher policy as an integrated component of national education sector plans or policies, aligned to national development plans and strategies. The Guide emphasizes the fact that such policy is country- speci c but can draw on the evidence of best practices from a wide range of countries and organizations. It assumes a diagnosis of the status of teachers and teaching has been done prior to policy development.
